Insert video



This is an example of an insert edit. An insert edit places a clip between the main clip without moving the main clips sequence. To do this, you hit cntrl. and drag the part you want to to the main video. I decided to insert the 2nd clip where I did becausei felt that was the best placement for that clip.
At the end of the 2nd f4v:
The difference between an overlay and an insert edit is inserting beween a clip or cutting off a little part of the main clip to insert the new one.
You would use an overlay when you want to change the main clip parts, while you’d use an insert edit when you want to add a part of another clip into the main sequence witought changing the way the clips flows. In this case the insert edit works better because_none of the clips get deleted.
